BYE 2015. HELLO 2016.

Image
For the year ends here, I smile and bid a goodbye to 2015. The year which taught me not to trust someone blindly, showed me who my real friends are, helped me discover the world, and made me strong enough to face the outer world alone. Started a new life, Said goodbye to the one I loved, Broken and recovered on my own, I stand here, with this smiling face of mine.  New friends made way into my life, making it a better place for me, and making me smile all the time. To the days spent in sadness, I can’t reverse and make them the happy days of my life, neither can I re-live those happy moments, when I wanted my life to pause for a while; nor can I go back to the nights I cried, and stop those tears from falling down. Everything has gone, everything coming my way will be new. The lessons I learnt will be with me always, new ones await my way. With every end comes a new beginning, So with a smile I bid goodbye to 2015, and with a ...

NEW LIFE.

Image
Image Source-  Wallpaper. For once I thought, It’s going to be a new life, a new place.. Excited and happy, I was eager to leave. The excitement just lasted for a few days, time flew soon and finally, the last night at home was here. With tears in her eyes she hugged me, she was no stranger but my very own sister. I never knew such a situation would come up, I ended up crying myself then. The next morning brought out the sun, with new hopes. My journey started towards my future, and the next stop was Kolkata, the city of joys. New place and new faces, I was scared enough. First day at college turned out to be magical, new friends made. Finally it was then time for my lifeline to leave. I smiled and bid her a goodbye. I never knew life would be so difficult without her, I miss you here mummy. I miss everything. But I'm strong enough, I’ll work hard and make you all proud, fulfilling my dreams. Image source-  F...

THAT NEW SKIRT.

Image
Image source-  GettyImage. That new skirt, hanging in the shop, leaving out the rest, and attracting all. “Mummy, buy me this skirt, please”, she said. To which her mother replied, “later my dear, let’s leave.” Walking on the floor, towards the exit, with tears. She saw her mummy on the cash counter, with a bag and paying the money. Curious she was to know what was inside, above all, she just wished it to be that pretty skirt. Back to home and she opened the bag, with happiness she sang. It was that particular skirt, and she was just waiting to wear it now. She then wore it, and then she was praised by her family. Just that pretty little skirt. HIS HAPPINESS.

Image
Image Source-  Favim. Late in the evening, He sat on the terrace, Watching those birds flying home, He decided to move on. Life was not going to stop for him, And he had to be strong enough, Strong enough to let go, And let things move on smoothly. Happiness was on the way,  It was just that he had to let go, Let go of the thing and memories, Making him sad and leaving him broken. He then finally let go, Happiness then made place in his life, Smiling all the time, He was all fine and happy now. This post is written for  A Prompt Each Day- Set The Challenge Sunday #7

HAPPINESS FOR YOU IS ALL I EVER WANTED.

“Ishaan, come here!” said my mother. I was on a leave from the office so I was in my room and hearing my mother calling, I went down and then I saw a girl sitting there with her parents. She was beautiful and the only thing I could think of was, “Are my parents planning to get me married now?”  As soon as I came and stood near my parents, she passed a smile to me and I did the same. Her smile was sweet and she was beautiful. “This is Ruhali and they are her parents.” said my father.  “Namaste Uncle and aunty,” I said to Mr. and Mrs. Srisvastav. “Namaste beta” they replied and I smiled. My father then said me to take Ruhali out and have a chat with her. Now it was clear to me that I’m getting married very soon and this starts here. I took her to the nearby CCD and we both ordered a coffee for ourselves.  “Hey, what do you do?” I asked her. She replied, “I just completed my Masters in English and now I’m working as an English lecturer. What about you?” “I work wi...

“THE JOURNEY STARTED WITH SOME VOTES ON INDIBLOGGER AND ENDED UP WITH A FRIEND REQUEST”

Image
A perfect title for this so very short story of friendship! :D IndiBlogger is an interesting site but I never thought that I would be getting a best buddy over there. Unexpected things do happen and this happened to me.  On 6th of April, I got a mail from IndiBlogger telling, “You have been added to the network of Depanjan Chowdhury , a blogger from Kolkata…….” I went off to IndiBlogger to check out his profile. Well then I added him back to my network and checked out his blog . His write-ups were awesome and I loved them. Depanjan Chowdhury. On 9th of April, I read all his posts and voted for them on IndiBlogger and his posts deserved those votes! Time passed off easily while reading his posts and then I was back to my old-boring-jobless life. WhatsApping, facebooking, blogging, eating, reading, and the list goes on… Suddenly at 10 P.M or so, I got a notification on my phone regarding Instagram telling me, “Depanjan Chowdhury ( @bengaliceo ) has reque...
